Elvira's owner surrendered her to the shelter I volunteer at, The Humane Society of Pulaski County in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Although the HSPC is a no kill shelter, the shelter environment can be stressful on a cat. Some of our cats have been there years. The workers are overwhelmed with all the work at the shelter and cannot spend a lot of time socializing the animals. Also, the cat is black which is a very common color amongst shelter cats; she will likely be overlooked.
Elvira appears to be shy initially but docile and snuggly after interacting with her for a while. She has huge, beautiful, amber colored eyes that just stare at you lovingly when you gently pet her. She's still very small, just 7 months old, and needs a loving home to grow up and grow old in. She will adapt best in a low stress household without small children.
There are no health issues and she up-to-date on vaccinations. Elvira will be spayed upon adoption ($75 adoption fee). |
